Preparing an encounter reserves one ration, equipped objects and any packed consumables. The ration is consumed when the leader launches. Other participants join voluntarily from the required region and reserve their own supplies.
Unlaunched formations expire after fifteen minutes. Withdrawing before launch returns your reservations. Once launched, the battle has real round deadlines and your supplies can be consumed by declared actions.
