Use fallen material to enter practical professions.
In Southfields, Choose useful fallen material is Survival work that requires no input or tool. A normal batch supplies three branches, two stones and two fiber. Two batches provide enough stone for your first hatchet and leave other material for later recipes.
Make a stone hatchet uses three stones, two branches and two fiber and takes five minutes. Make a stone pick uses four stones, two branches and two fiber and also takes five minutes. These are separate recipes; account for the resources needed if you make both.
Bring a hatchet and trail rations to an eligible Woodcutting region when you want to cut timber. Read the method card before departure. Tools required by an activity are reserved for that work and returned afterward.
