Understand measured lots
Two batches of the same material can have different working value.
Measured output retains a batch identity, quality, material properties and provenance. A plain material name identifies its template; a lot identifier identifies a specific measured batch. These are different choices when you select inputs.
The useful properties are damping, conductivity, flexibility, toughness, stability and purity. Their effects differ: for example, toughness can add armor and weight, while conductivity can improve magic and increase certain incoming pressure. Inspect origin on a carried item to see the record that belongs to that object. Maker attribution follows actual production and later transformations. Keeping a useful property through manufacturing requires suitable inputs and a process that retains it.
