Follow The Wrong Bell

After completing A Place to Stand with Ilya at the Record House, travel to Westcut and meet Marra Venn at Venn Yard. Accept The Wrong Bell through Journal. This guide describes a newly accepted account; if you already have an older account, follow the objectives recorded in your own Journal.

At Broken Cart Road, inspect the damaged cart first. Then make a useful observation of the displaced wildlife or damaged support there. Marked wood at Managed Stand is another route if you meet that observation’s requirements. An old observation or earlier professional work does not replace this follow-up. If you already knew the evidence, inspect it again at its actual place after the cart lead. Re-reading known evidence gives no extra discovery XP.

After the follow-up, travel back to Hearthwake and use Explore → Visit → Common Depot. An earlier depot visit does not satisfy this return. Then go back to Marra at Venn Yard to choose the recorded outcome. Finishing the account awards 240 character XP once; its memory remains available.

Sawyers’ Road connects Hearthwake and Westcut. Without other travel bonuses, walking takes nine minutes each way, or six minutes forty-five seconds with Prepared travel, which consumes one carried trail ration at departure. Shared road improvements and earned travel abilities can shorten the actual commitment. Reading the map or opening a menu does not advance the journey.

After completion, use Journal → Read memory → The Wrong Bell. Read the full Account and Later conversation, then use Recorded steps to revisit the saved sequence. A recorded inspection or visit is named when that evidence was saved. Reopening or paging the memory awards no extra XP.
